Chapter 42: The Great Sage diligently calls at South Sea; Guanyin with compassion binds the Red Boy.
Are we surprised that Guanyin saves the day again?
Hello everyone. We’re almost at the end of the second volume but halfway through our adventure. You can do it! (And so can I, if the Buddha wants me to).
“Who cares about fowls and beasts, crawling or winged creatures?” Wukong, that’s not very Buddhist.
“With a few strokes, she shaved his hair off and turned it into the style of the Tai Mountain Crowning the Head: the top was completely bald, but three tufts of hair were left around the edge so that they could be knotted together into three tiny braids”: I don’t even want to imagine this look.
Not much to comment on this episode, but I specially liked the description of Guanyin’s palace and their trip back together.
If you want to watch chapter, watch episode 52 and 53 and this children show. I recommend you to read this Reddit post about the origin of Red Boy.
See you in 3 days!
